Those who are interested in blogging and journalism ought to read this piece of gem from Poynter Institute.

It is written by Poynter Institute’s Roy Peter Clark, whom I’ve never met but nevertheless considered as mentor. It’s about The Benton Curve Of Journalistic Interestingness drawn by a reporter and Nieman fellow named Josh Benton.

Roy writes in his latest Writing Tools installment that:

“…surprising moments of great learning seem so satisfying and joyful.

I experienced such a moment at the Nieman Narrative Conference, thanks to a young reporter and Nieman fellow named Josh Benton, who offered the most dynamic presentation I’ve ever witnessed on — of all things — blogging.

I would love to include the attractive Curve of Interestingness here but alas, I had no permission to do so.
